A minimum night stay applies to PEAK season of minimum 5 nights.<\/p>\n

How old is a child?
\n<\/strong>Children are from 2 to 14yrs. Children under 2 stay free.<\/p>\n

Is linen provided?
\n<\/strong>Full linen is provided in the Cabin and Studio units.
\nCaravans are supplied with a sheet and pillows\/pillow cases.

How can I pay?
\n<\/strong>Payment may be made at time of booking or upon arrival. A deposit of one nights tariff is required at the time of booking. The balance payable on check in or any time prior.<\/p>\n

Pets<\/span><\/strong>
\nWe do not accept pets of any kind other than guide dogs.<\/p>\n

Reservations<\/span><\/strong>
\nReservations are accepted subject to receipt of deposit. Payment in full is to be made on arrival, and no refunds will be issued for early departure. (Minimum booking requirements – number and duration – may apply in busy periods). Payment by Cash, Master Card, Visa and direct credit accepted.<\/p>\n

Deposit Policy<\/span><\/strong>
\nA deposit of one nights tariff is required to secure a reservation. Where Master\/Visa Card details are supplied, The card details will be validated, and \u0003first nights tariff may be charged. In the event of non-arrival or cancellation as below the card will be charged the appropriate balance. We accept \u0003cash, bank cheque, Master Card\/Visa, EFTPOS and direct credit.<\/p>\n

Cancellation Policy<\/span><\/strong>
\nAll cancellations will incur a NZ$20.00 fee to cover administration costs. Cancellations less than 10 days prior to check-in date, deposit will be refunded \u0003only if we are able to re-let the accommodation\/ site, and less the $20.00 Administration Fee. Credit cards will be charged any fees owed. Special \u0003Christmas Conditions Accommodation reservations for period 24 December through 10 February are subject NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of the \u0003greater of one nights tariff or ten percent of total booking, to be paid when reservation made. \nIn summer Mangawhai buzzes with holiday home owners and tourists enjoying the many diverse activities and events on offer. With 5 beaches within a 15 minute drive you are spoiled for choice, whether it is sailing, fishing, surfing or just lazing on the golden expanses of sand.<\/p>\n

The Mangawhai Surf Lifesaving Club runs a popular summer programme of family-oriented beach activities; the entertainment featuring top New Zealand bands at the historic harbourside Tavern is legendary and the Golf Club hosts many open tournaments while bowls and petangue are available at the adjacent Bowling Club.<\/p>\n

The annual summer carnival is held every January 2nd and is hugely popular for its\u2019 full day of sideshows, stalls, displays and entertainment.<\/p>\n

Kayak across the harbour to the sand dunes or explore quiet mangrove-lined tributaries. Mangawhai\u2019s sand dunes are a dominant feature of the harbour. Administered by the Department of Conservation, they are home to the rare Fairy and Caspian tern, variable oystercatcher and the New Zealand Dotterel.<\/p>\n

Fitness enthusiasts can participate in the Annual Triathlon, explore the many bush and ocean walks or register for the highlight of the year, the Mangawhai Walking Weekend which is held in either March or April each year. Experience the real magic of Mangawhai on the many guided
\ncoastal, farm and bush walks. Feast your eyes on the panoramic gulf views from the Whangarei Heads to Pakiri.<\/p>\n

Mangawhai boasts a thriving arts community, with over 40 artistans and craftspeople combining to open their studios for the annual Mangawhai Art Trail, held in conjunction with the Walking Weekend.<\/p>\n
